About Us

The Clinton Minor Baseball Camp was founded in 2012 by Member of Parliament for Huron-Bruce, Ben Lobb.  In 2011, Lobb noticed that the sport was making a comeback in Huron-Bruce and wanted to help foster that growth. Every year he has been able to secure sponsors to make the camp affordable so all kids have the chance to participate.  Lobb is responsible for bringing former Toronto Blue Jays Kelly Gruber and Jesse Barfield to headline the camp, and many other baseball stars have also joined the camp in the years that followed.  After three successive sold out camps in Clinton, Lobb decided to expand the camp to Kincardine in 2016.

Lobb is not a stranger to the game of baseball. He grew up playing baseball in Clinton while attending Central Huron Secondary School.  After graduation he went to Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee on a baseball scholarship.  He graduated from Lee University in 1999 where he received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Cum Laude.

The Clinton Minor Baseball camp is now entering its 9th year. The camp provides a great opportunity for our region to grow and promote the great game of baseball and get kids active. The camp gives children between the ages of 7 to 15 the opportunity to improve on hitting, base running, throwing and fielding.  Each year the camp has had over 100 boys and girls from Huron, Bruce, Perth, Middlesex, Wellington and Lambton counties attend making it a truly regional event.
